Mission: The mission of the Ambassadors Committee is to aid the Membership department in welcoming new members, retaining existing members, and to support the mission of the Petaluma Area Chamber. Members represent a diverse group of business owners, managers and agents of their organization.

Business Connections

Ambassadors may attend the annual California Ambassadors Rally and periodically, the group selects a member to be featured in the Ambassador Profile column in the Petaluma Business to introduce the membership to current Ambassadors.  This group meets once a month to review upcoming events and act as the hosts for events such as:

  • Business After Hours Network mixers
  • Quarterly Chamber Luncheons
  • Community Awards of Excellence
  • Business Expo
  • 5th Tuesday Lunch Mob events

I enjoy being an Ambassador for the Petaluma Chamber because it allows me to be more connected to the community and my 5th generation roots for Petaluma.

Hi, I am Kathleen Stafford and I own Pongo's Kitchen & Tap and also a Co-Founder of Petaluma Parents Against Drugs. I have been a Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador for over a decade. I stick with it because it has given me the opportunity to get to know so many different people and businesses. It has truly made me a better community member!

Daniel Canales has lived in the North Bay since 1996 and when he shifted his career from route sales to life and health insurance agent in 1998 that’s when he joined BNI, the PACC and became an Ambassador. The committee was run by Joyce Dutton and he remembers the fun and challenges of taking the committee from 3 people sitting at the AppleBox to over 15 active Ambassadors meeting at Pongo’s Tap & Kitchen. Daniel has been serving as Chair of the committee for the last 16 years and is currently serving on the Chamber Board. Daniel has maintained a A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau for the last 15 years and is a certified enroller with Covered California. He is always looking to help people navigate through the enrollment process for medical insurance and fill the gaps in their coverage with dental, vision, supplemental coverage and life insurance.

After moving to Petaluma a decade ago and owning a local business, I was looking for more opportunities to immerse myself in this awesome town. Petaluma Chamber of Commerce is a thriving active organization that has so much to offer- including the Ambassador Program which I thoroughly enjoy participating in. The meetings and events (in my blood) have kept me involved, current and focused on our community. It makes my heart full when I can offer Sova Gardens, my event venue, for fund raisers, local charities and events that bring us closer together.

As the Community Marketing Specialist at Western Health Advantage, I have found the Petaluma Chamber to be a great advocate for our business community. WHA is thrilled to be a member of the Petaluma Chamber of Commerce, which gives us wonderful exposure to the Petaluma business community. I enjoy the strong collaborative relationships with our regional decision makers that the Chamber facilitates, which in turn ensures that Chamber members’ voices are heard. When our diverse, local businesses thrive so does our entire community, creating a premier place to live and work. As an ambassador in the Chamber, I contribute to and benefit from our activities, which keep me and other members informed on what is going on in the business community. At the Chamber, we meet civic leaders and network with other businesses and share best practices. WHA and I look forward to our continued membership with the Chamber and all the benefits it has to offer.
